MJ Care Therapy
Approach to Rehab
At some point in your life, you may be faced with making a decision about alternate health care for yourself, a family member or a friend. When short-term inpatient or outpatient care is ordered, Lasata Care Center should be your first choice. Every detail and clinical program was created precisely for the needs of the short- term rehab patient. Our approach to rehabilitation features a true cohesive interdisciplinary team including licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, dieticians and nurses. Working together they assist patients recovering from recent hospitalization due to complex medical or surgical needs as well as individuals looking to simply regain functional abilities.
Therapists
Our physical therapists specialize in balance, coordination, range of motion, strength, mobility, posture and pain management. Staff occupational therapists focus on activities of daily living such as dressing, meal preparation, use of adaptive equipment and home safety. Furthermore, our speech-language pathologists address communication disorders including hearing, language, voice and swallowing difficulties. Our dedicated, on-site therapists are thoroughly experienced in treating patients with simple to complex medical, neurological or orthopedic conditions.
Rehab Programs
Many of our therapy programs are designed specifically for patients working to decrease or manage pain, reduce inflammation and re-educate muscles after surgery or an injury. Each therapist diligently works to increase a patient’s strength, accelerate recovery and improve neuromuscular control or treat orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. To complement the comprehensive therapy offered, our restorative nursing and therapy services work together seamlessly, focusing on maximizing individual functional abilities while encouraging an independent lifestyle.
Our rehab programs also reach across our full continuum of care campus. We provide valuable outpatient therapy services for tenants living at LaSata Heights, our independent living apartments as well as Lasata Crossing, our assisted living apartments. Tenants enjoy convenience and easy accessibility to the rehab services, educational programs and ongoing wellness clinics provided by our highly experienced therapists.
Return Home
Your return home is the ultimate goal of our entire clinical team. However, if longer term placement is eventually anticipated, we provide complete restorative and maintenance programs to facilitate independence and quality of life in a more supportive setting. We will also assist in determining the least restrictive environment if returning home is not an option. If you would like more information about our rehabilitation programs or would like to speak with one of our therapists, please call us at 262-377-5060.
Outpatient
